Letter from the CEO and President, Dan Thompson
ILoca was incorporated in 1989. Its first home was a 32′ office trailer. My brother Jim and I arrived there every morning and made phone calls. We called anyone we could think of who might need trailers. Every customer and every deal was important. Today ILoca occupies over 100 acres with headquarters in Aurora, IL, two additional brick and mortar locations in Caledonia, WI and Davenport, IA and we have customers all over North America. Every customer and every deal is still important.
At ILoca we are very aware that our customers are the reason we are here. ILoca employees live by the motto, “Your partner for the long haul.” Our focus has always been on building long-term relationships by providing excellent customer service and solving our customer’s problems. The word “hustle” is in ILoca’s mission statement. That’s because we know that time really is money. When you need equipment, or you need repairs or a part for your trailer, every hour that you are down is costing you. Getting you and your equipment on the road is our priority.

Our Leadership Team
CEO and President
Dan Thompson is CEO and President as well as owner and co-founder of ILoca Services. Dan and his late brother Jim opened ILoca’s doors in the late 1980s, envisioning a full-service semitrailer dealership. From humble beginnings in a small office trailer, Dan and Jim spent the early years calling prospects and gaining customers through hard work, integrity, and asking customers to consider them their “Partner For The Long Haul®”. Today, ILoca is a major partner in the transportation industry throughout the Midwest and across North America. Dan has fostered a culture of growth and hustle at ILoca; hiring quality people and empowering his team to deliver a high-level customer experience every time. Dan is an alumnus of Elmhurst University where he earned a degree in communications.
COO
Joe Trost is the Chief Operating Officer with 10 years in the transportation industry and another 30 years of professional sales and operational leadership roles in corporate America. He manages the company’s daily operations, ensuring efficiency, and implementing strategic annual operating plans. In addition, he collaborates with the Team to align business goals and drive growth with ILoca’s four core values, Integrity, Teamwork, Partnership, and Hustle. Joe holds a Bachelor of Science degree from Western Illinois University.
Director of Sales
Ann Gerardi is ILoca’s Director of Sales. She joined ILoca and the transportation industry in 2008, working her way up from administrative duties to her current role. In the process, Ann learned how ILoca’s departments cooperate to solve customer problems quickly and efficiently. She collaborates closely with everyone on the ILoca team to achieve win-win solutions for ILoca and its partners. Ann graduated from University of Illinois. She and her husband have two children.
Director of People Operations
Rianne Idstein serves as Director of People Operations with over 20 years of HR experience, including 6 years in the industry. She empowers a team that lives out ILoca's values of integrity, teamwork, partnership, and hustle. Working across all levels of the organization, she strengthens a workplace culture that's as strong as the trailers ILoca sells, leading talent development and organizational initiatives that drive operational excellence. Rianne holds an MS in Management and Organizational Behavior from Benedictine University, a BS in Political Science from Illinois State University, and PHR and SHRM-SCP certifications.
Director of Finance
Mary Walgrave is ILoca's Director of Finance and has been in the Accounting field for her entire career working in both the private and public sectors. Recently, she has spent five years in the transportation industry where she has applied her skills and experience previously acquired. Mary manages the company's finance department and believes in creating a healthy and fun working environment while at the same time, working closely with all departments to ensure accurate and timely reporting. Mary is a CPA and graduated from Illinois State University.
