Part Manager’s Note: Door operators are simple if you keep just a few things in mind.

1. Get the shaft length measurement correct, you cannot cut the shaft length down.
2. Don’t get over fixated on the spring measurements. The spring measurements change as the spring compresses.  
3. This operator with the 2.5″ diameter spring is used on Dry Vans & Straight Trucks with Plywood, Plymetal & Composite overhead doors.  
4. This Whiting W-Style Operator Balancer WILL NOT work on Reefers & Refrigerated doors.  The Reefer & Refrigerated insulated door is much heavier & requires a larger spring diameter.  Usually 3.0″ diameter or larger.
