Trailer Mechanic

Join our expanding full-service semi-trailer dealership! We're seeking energetic, self-motivated mechanics with hands-on experience to fill immediate openings in Aurora.

Responsibilities
  • Inspect, diagnose and perform mechanical repairs related to electrical and other defects on flatbed and van semi-trailers
  • Knowledge in adjusting and replacing brakes, suspensions, alignments, and basic knowledge of air systems is a plus
  • Able to thoroughly perform Preventative Maintenance inspections and repairs
  • Be a participant in the care and upkeep of the shop and all equipment and tools
  • Maintains a clean, safe environment that complies with company standards
  • Proficient in recording all work and labor on a computer
  • Works in compliance to EPA regulations as well as DOT and company safety requirements
  • Performs other maintenance duties or assignments when necessary
Qualifications
  • Must be mechanically inclined
  • Team player
  • Commitment to listen and follow instructions; deadline and detail oriented
  • Must be able to work outside in all types of weather
  • Ability to sit, stand, walk, and climb on or under trailers
  • Lift 80 – 100 lbs intermittently, and carry up to 60 lbs on occasion
  • Basic computer skills
  • Strong work ethic
  • Candidates must have a basic set of tools and toolbox
  • Legally eligible to work in the United States
  • At least 18 years of age
