2-4 Bix Beiderbecke Memorial Jazz Festival

Bix Beiderbecke, a 1920’s jazz artist who was native to Davenport, is a legend of the genre and is immortalized in the International Jazz Hall of Fame. The festival celebrates Beiderbecke’s legacy and the artistry of modern jazz artists. https://www.bixsociety.org/festival.html

2-4 Tug Fest

Every year, Midwest natives from Port Byron, Illinois and LeClaire, Iowa, tug it out with a 2,700 foot long rope across the Mississippi! The entire weekend is full of events like fireworks, a kids tug, a parade, and a carnival! www.tugfest.com

11 Ya Maka My Weekend

Ya Maka My Weekend, the “Original District Festival” celebrates Caribbean culture with ethnic foods, live reggae and Caribbean music, palm trees and sand. This festival enjoys a Midwest regional draw and continues to be the reggae event of the summer. A one-day pass is only $9! 18 Floatzilla

18 Quad City Symphony Riverfront Pops

Enjoy the Quad City Symphony Orchestra’s renditions of iconic Beach Boys songs from Pet Sounds and other albums on the banks of the Mississippi River in LeClaire Park in downtown Davenport. Spend your weekend watching top drag racing at the Cordova International Raceway. If you prefer adrenaline to relaxation over the weekend, definitely consider this option! Music, film, comedy, art- no matter what your preference is, Alternating Currents has something for you. 25 Vettes on the River

Record numbers of Corvettes will be assembling on the levee in LeClaire, Iowa, just a few feet from the majesty of the Mississippi River. The event benefits local veterans, making the name doubly appropriate. https://vettesontheriver.com/

30-Sept. 3 USS LST 325

This WWII amphibious vessel is docking at the Isle Casino Bettendorf for public tours each day between the 30th of August and the 3rd of September. The ship is almost as long as a football field! Check their calendar for more information. www.LSTmemorial.org
