
Under general direction of the Director, Trailer Services, the Tire Technician manages tire inventory and adequately uses resources to meet quality standards and service department needs.
Operate tire machine to dismount tires from rims for future use by service department
Separate used tires according to tread depth and usability
Sort used tires to determine feasibility for resuse/recap or scrap/junk
Independently manage inventory and use resources to adequately meet service department needs
Provide mechanics with tires to complete service repairs and record inventory on repair order in the CRM system
Assist mechanics with mudflap installation on trailers
Additional responsibilities as assigned
Ability to lift up to 75 lbs
Basic knowledge of tires
Ability to read, write and use computers and related technology
Preferred education and experience:
High school diploma or equivalent
